FindNetworkingEvents.com

FindNetworkingEvents.com was launched by develop it in December 2007 and has gone on to become one of the leading sources of business networking information in the UK.

The aim of the site is to allow businesses to easily find out about business events taking place in their local area. Previously it was a case of trawling Google for the individual event organiser’s websites which was a hit or miss affair depending on the search engine rankings of these sites.

Traffic to FindNetworkingEvents.com has tripled over the past year and the site now achieves Google number one ranking for many important keywords such as ‘networking events’. In many cases the event details on the site are higher ranked than the sites of the event organisers themselves.

The site caters for two groups of people:

Event Organisers

They may register on the site for their own account then login and add their events. The events will then appear on the site automatically and also in weekly email bulletins that are sent out to registered users. Organisers also have the ability to add news items.

Networkers

Networkers can search the site for events by area or town/city and subscribe to join the mailing list. We currently send out our email event bulletin to over 2000 people every week. This email is unique in that it only contains events for the subscriber’s selected regions in the UK. The result is that the email is highly targeted and we have very few un-subscribes.

Social Media Integration

The site allows event organisers to display their YouTube videos and photos from Flickr against their events. Video content is not only attractive to users visiting the site but is also good for search engine rankings.

Other features

  • RSS feeds of events allowing networkers to pull event details directly into their feed readers or Google homepage. The events are also integrated into third party websites using this feature.
  • Twitter updates are pulled into the site via RSS feeds. This acts as additional content for the site and also drives traffic towards out Twitter account.

Testimonial

“What I like is I’m able to select the region I want to receive updates for. This is segmented email marketing at its best. Check it out folks.”
